His Majesty King Harald V presented the Kavli Prizes to the Laureates during a ceremony hosted by film director and TV-host Gry Molvær Hivju and theoretical physicist, author, and broadcaster Jim Al-Khalili.
The event also included musical performances by artists Sondre Lerche, Iris, Mari Boine (with choir) and the trio Alma, Hector and Franz Serafin Kraggerud.
